Skye

Skye is a therapist-in-training and intern at Mosaics Counseling who brings together art, somatic awareness, and trauma-informed care. As both an artist and a long-time yoga practitioner, she is passionate about helping clients reconnect with themselves through creativity, the body, and gentle curiosity. Skye believes healing happens when people feel safe enough to explore their inner world at their own pace. Her role is to offer a warm, collaborative space where clients can express themselves through both art and conversation, build self-trust, and move toward greater connection and understanding.

Background

Skye is a graduate student in Clinical Mental Health Counseling with a concentration in Art Therapy at Antioch University New England. Art has been a central part of her life for many years, and her personal creative practice continues to shape how she understands expression, healing, and transformation.

She also brings a strong foundation in somatic awareness through her ongoing yoga practice, which has been an important part of her own mental health and regulation. This influences her approach to therapy, where she values slowing down, tuning into the body, and supporting clients in building a deeper connection to themselves.

Alongside her clinical training, Skye is currently studying neuroscience through HarvardX’s Fundamentals of Neuroscience program, expanding her understanding of how the brain and nervous system relate to trauma, regulation, and healing. She is also deeply influenced by an Internal Family Systems (IFS) lens, which she has explored through immersive retreat work and continued involvement in the IFS community. Her work is grounded in trauma-informed care, supported by training in Psychological First Aid (APA), trauma-informed practice, and suicide prevention (CALM).

Skye is committed to creating a space where clients feel seen, supported, and empowered, and aims to meet each person as they are while supporting meaningful, lasting change.
